Equipement

The Equipment module introduces product serialization capabilities to Dolibarr—handling items individually, in quantities, or in batches—and enables lifecycle tracking by associating events (warranty, rental, shipment, etc.) and managing statuses (for sale, under repair, etc.), all on either an individual or bulk basis.

The **Equipment** module manages three key, interconnected concepts: equipment, events, and consumption.

It enables full traceability of your physical assets throughout their lifecycle.

Equipements	Events	Consumptions
The "Equipment" module centralizes the management of the company's physical assets (machines, tools, devices, etc.), using a unique serial number. Each piece of equipment can be: Linked to a customer or supplier; Connected to a warehouse; Associated with key dates: commissioning, end-of-life, best-before date, etc.	"Events" allow you to track any operation related to a piece of equipment: service intervention, loan, maintenance, etc. Each event record contains: A start and end date; An association with one or more pieces of equipment; Links to other modules (service intervention, contract, project, etc.) or custom links.customLink.	"Consumables" tracks the usage of consumable items or spare parts: Use in manufacturing; Replacement (e.g., battery). This unified approach offers: Accurate inventory; A reliable maintenance history; Better cost control per asset.

In addition to the Factory module, you can automatically:

• create the equipment corresponding to your production
• create an event corresponding to the manufacturing order (MO)
• add the products listed in the MO's bill of materials as consumption for the created equipment
