MoreDesc/en

MoreDesc n' Notes lets you complete or replace a product's description according to a specific third party and a set of documents (quotes, orders, customer and supplier invoices). The module also lets you quickly add predefined notes.

Overview

The module consists of two features:

• creating and using custom labels and descriptions for products
• creating and using note templates that can be easily added to the native public and private notes

Configuration

Enabling the module

To use the MoreDesc module, go to Home > Setup > Modules/Applications, then enable the MoreDesc module.

Overview of the module settings

In the MoreDesc plugin settings, you can configure 4 options: Description in HTML: Lets you switch to HTML formatting for the additional descriptions. Timer on public notes: Adds a time indicator on the public notes. Timer on private notes: Adds a time indicator on the private notes. Disable Patas-Monkey version control: Disables update checking for the MoreDesc plugin. The Timers are native but hidden Dolibarr features; the module simply lets you manage them easily.

Installing the corechange (Dolibarr versions below 24)

For the note templates to display, you need to apply a corechange on Dolibarr versions below V24.

Configuring the features

The features are configured from the Patas tools menu. Two menus on the left let you manage the descriptions and the notes.

Managing descriptions (MoreDesc)

Creating

Preview — Creating a new description To create a new description, click on New Description in the left-hand tab. You then get the preview shown here, which lets you create a new description. Label: Set the Label of the new description. Third party: Set the Third party to which the new description is attached. Product: Set the Product to which the new description will be attached. Add/Replace Add: The description you have written will be added to the associated product's base description. Replace: The description you have written will completely replace the associated product's base description; only this one will be present. Alternative label: Sets the alternative label of the new description. Description: Text of the new description. Status: Sets the status of the new description. There are 3 possible statuses: Draft / Validated / Cancelled. Active Description Space: Check the section(s) in which you want to be able to activate the new description.

Editing/deleting

Editing Editing is only done from the description record. You can switch the record's status to Draft or Validated in 1 click from the record. Draft > Validated Validated > Draft However, if you want to change other settings on the description record, you will need to click on Edit. This will take you back to the same interface as when creating the record.

Suppression
La suppression d'une Description est possible depuis la fiche de la description via le bouton Supprimer.

Liste des Descriptions
Il vous faudra alors sélectionner la ou les Descriptions à supprimer, sélectionner l'action à effectuer (en l'occurrence supprimer), puis confirmer l'action.

Liste des descriptions Vous verrez toutes les descriptions créées depuis la liste des descriptions MoreDesc, avec les informations suivantes : Libellé Tiers Produit Ajoute/Remplace État

Liste des descriptions depuis la fiche société

Fiche de Société Sur la fiche d'une Société ayant des descriptions, il est possible d'accéder à la liste de ces descriptions depuis la sous-page MoreDesc de la fiche. Vous pouvez ainsi voir et rechercher les descriptions associées à ce Tiers/Société avec les filtres suivants : Libellé Produits L'action (Ajoute ou Remplace) État

Fiche Produit/Service Sur la fiche d'un Produit/Service ayant des descriptions, il est possible d'accéder à la liste de ces descriptions depuis la sous-page MoreDesc de la fiche. Vous pouvez ainsi voir et rechercher les descriptions associées à ce Produit/Service avec les filtres suivants : Libellé Tiers L'action (Ajoute ou Remplace) État

Gestion des modèles de notes (morenotes)

Pour créer une nouvelle MoreNote, il faut cliquer sur Nouvelle MoreNotes dans l'onglet de gauche ; vous vous retrouvez alors avec l'aperçu ci-joint, qui vous permettra de créer une nouvelle MoreNote.

Modification/suppression

Pour modifier une MoreNote, il faut aller sur la fiche de la MoreNote en question et cliquer sur Modifier ; cela vous ramènera au même onglet que lors de la création d'une MoreNote.
Le bouton Supprimer supprimera la MoreNote en question et retirera la fonction permettant d'ajouter rapidement cette note à l'espace auquel elle était liée.

La liste des MoreNotes vous permet de voir quelles MoreNotes vous avez créées et leurs informations : Titre Éléments d'attache Public / Privée Description Auteur
